Oh happy day! My name is Abigail (or Abby) and I’m a wife, mom to Liam (and baby girl in January!!), Christ follower and registered dietitian. I worked for most of my career as a dietitian doing private practice, nutrition communications and media, recipe development and sports nutrition until the end of 2017 when I had my son and became a stay at home mom. I dabble in a little bit of work still, but it’s mostly taking care of Liam. It was a bit of a transition, but one I’ve loved and learn from every day! I used to be a dietitian that spoke about losing weight and eating right but after I struggled to get pregnant for 3+ years, I realized that I had actually been over-exercising and under-eating for 10+ years resulting in a loss of my menses.
Through that learning process and acceptance that I had disordered eating, God has really transformed my life and my nutrition philosophy has changed dramatically. I still love food but my focus is now on eating yummy food (sometimes a spinach salad and sometimes fried chicken and sometimes together) and listening to body cues. I’ve decided to start this website and blend my loves: family, food and faith; sharing recipes, faith and inspiration and many life/family/food lessons I’ve learned and continue to learn! Thank you so much for stopping by!
